The Ashley National Forest in Utah and Wyoming has released the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for their Travel Management Plan. Public meetings are planned for April 21-23, 2009.

Travel Management Draft Environmental Impact Statement

The Ashley National Forest is proposing to improve management of public motorized use by designating roads and motorized trails on the Ashley National Forest. Winter snowmobile use is not addressed in this project. This project will result in the publication of a motor vehicle use map by fall of 2009. Once the motor vehicle use map is published, motorized use will be allowed only on designated routes.
