| | Public Comment Period Begins for Grand Junction BLM Roads and Trails
Jul 20, 2009The Bureau of Land Management, Grand Junction Field Office is asking road and trail users to tell them how they use the system of roads and trails, and how the system can be improved for future use.http://www.blm.gov/co/st/en/fo/gjfo/rmp.html. BLM will accept comments through August 21.
The information gathered during this second phase will help guide management of the roads and trails in the 1.2 million acre field office area for the next two decades, including which roads and trails are designated open, limited, or closed, including the designation of roads and trails for different types of travel. The public will be able to comment on proposed travel management alternatives when the draft resource management plan is released next year.
