Public meeting on Interlake set for Nov. 18
A public meeting on the master plan for development of Interlake, an outdoor recreation area owned by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, will be held Nov. 18, in Lynnville, at the Tecumseh High School auditorium.
Interlake, which is located east of Lynnville in Warrick and Pike counties, is a former coal mine property owned by the DNR that is open to various types of trail use, including off-road vehicle riding, horseback riding, mountain biking and hiking. Other uses currently allowed include hunting, fishing and trapping. Besides marked trails, the property has no other improvements.
The master plan will help identify desirable uses for the property and appropriate improvements.
The meeting starts at 6 p.m. Central time. The high school's address is 5244 W. S.R. 68, Lynnville, 47619. Any person who desires to comment on the plan may attend the meeting or e-mail a message to info@cbastudios.net and include the word "Interlake" in the subject line.
