Trail Description: Boulders steep climb

The top part of this trail is not officially recognized by the Forest Service.
The trail climbs steadily through the trees, with occasional rocky areas. It ends near the middle of the Mack Mountain trail.

Getting There:

From Kettle Falls to south end: From the junction of US 395 and US 20 just across the bridge west of Kettle Falls, take US 395 north for 5.9 miles. Turn left (west) on CR 460 (Deadman Creek Road). Reset your odometer here. At 0.6 miles, bear right. At 4.0 miles, bear left. At 6.4 miles, turn left over the bridge. At 8.75 miles, you will pass the Hoodoo Canyon trailhead. This large meadow is a good place to park tow rigs and trailers. At 13.9 miles, turn right on FR 640, which is the trail.
