Trail Description: Boulders Shelf Road Views

This is a fairly easy trail.  There are a couple of rough, tight switchbacks near the top that can cause problems for longer vehicles.  The south half of the trail can be tight and brushy.  There are nice views of Lake Roosevelt from the meadows on the south side of the trail near the top.

Getting There:

From Kettle Falls to north end: Take US 395 north about 3.6 miles.  Turn left (west) on US 20 just after crossing the bridge and go about 7.7 miles. Turn left (south) on FR 2000.136 (Bangs Mountain Road) and go about 2.0 miles. Turn right (west) on FR 2000.164.  The trail starts on the left about 100 yards in.
